Cinnamon desert is where mini “storyletters” mingle with cosily candid journal essays. Part creative writing, part feuilleton, part soft-rant. Think Polish-American culture clashes, LDR check-ins, people-watching notes, and occasional linguistic poem. A regular portion of radical honesty, told with playful wit and rightly-dosed fluff.

Why the name?
Because life often feels like a desert — full of uncertainty, isolation, and the occasional mirage that turns out to be just that. cinnamon desert is a quiet counter to all that. A place where I try to make the barren feel a little less brutal. Cinnamon, to me, is the flavor of coziness — warm, grounding, homey. That’s what I hope my writing feels like too: small doses of comfort and clarity, scattered across the vast, disorienting terrain we’re all trying to cross.

Why subscribe?
Because sometimes your own inner monologue needs a nudge from someone else’s. Here you’ll find writing that makes you feel things—joy, nostalgia, the “aha” of seeing yourself in someone else’s story—and maybe helps you carry heavy thoughts lightly. New storyletters land in your inbox every other Wednesday. The journal riffs happen in less organized schedule, but never more often than once-twice a week.

About me (and you)
Hi, I’m Lena. I’m Polish, based in Warsaw, with an American LDR tale and a habit of turning my overthinking into storytelling. By day I’m a creative strategist; by mail I’m your friendly accompany through cultural quirks, anxious tangents and quiet discoveries, often served with a wink. I write to process, not to perform. Cinnamon desert is not a guide or a lesson or a blueprint for anything. It’s just me, working through things out loud. And if any of it lands, stays with you, or makes you feel a little more seen — then that’s already everything.
